Deputy Chairman 

 Mr. Al- Adwan assumed his duties as a deputy chairman since 12/12/2023 after he was a member of the Board of Commissioners of the Jordan Securities Commission more than 4 years, prior to being the Secretary General of the House of Representatives from December 2016 till October 2019.

After obtaining a bachelor’s degree in law from the University of Jordan, Mr. Al- Adwan started his career as a trainee lawyer during the period from 1989 to 1991 until obtaining a professional license from Jordan Bar Association in 1991, to practice the Legal profession at period 1991-1992.
 
He had a distinguished career in the House of Representatives since December 1992, where he graduated in several positions including: Secretary of the Legal Committee, Secretary of the Education, Culture and Youth Committee from 1992 to 1997, Head of the Committees Section, and Secretary of the Arab and International Affairs Committee from 1997 to 1998, Head of Public Relations and Protocol from 1998 to 1999, Secretary of the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 1999 to 2004, Director of the Speakership Affairs  Directorate and Director of the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2004 to 2012. He was awarded the Order of Independence of the Third Class for Professional Excellence in 2007 by His Majesty King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein. He then assumed his duties as Director General of the Office of the Speaker of the House of Representatives from 2012 to 2016.

During his career, Mr. Al- Adwan attended many specialized courses related to political, electoral and parliamentary affairs, including: the International Program for Legislative Drafting comprising of preparing legislations, principles of legislative drafting and interpretation of laws, organized by the Royal Institute of Public Administration in London UK, in addition to a course in Legislative Information Systems, a comprehensive study of the USA Congress and a course in the Federal System of the USA of the International Visitor Program implemented by the U.S. Department of State in the USA to view the various governmental structures and functions, including the Federal State, Political Parties and Pressure Groups.
